The Wellness Nurse- Psychotherapist Tara Tourloukis
Tara Tourloukis is a Registered Nurse, Psychotherapist practicing in Ontario. She has been a nurse for 20 years, with the majority of that in the mental health space. For the past decade Tara has worked in a therapy role, and holds a master of psychiatric nursing degree, currently working through a PhD in nursing.
Tara supports adult clients who are feeling burnt out and overwhelmed, both virtually and in person, in her super cute office in Kincardine Ontario Canada.
Tara works predominantly from a CBT and DBT framework, and those who know her, know how much she loves supporting people to build really awesome coping skills.
In this episode Tara speaks about the shift from nursing to therapy and how that transition went for her. Additionally she speaks about resources and the need for support throughout the process of starting in private practice.
