Starting a virtual private practice & motherhood- Interview with Rhea Bridge of Bridge Counselling & Psychotherapy
In this episode, Meagan and Rhea sit down to discuss Rhea's experience opening a private practice this year as a brand new therapist and why "niching down" hasn't been the right choice for her. Rhea shares her top pieces of advice that have made this transition easier as a working mom: implementing an organization system that works for your life, and remembering that we're all human and having patience for ourselves when we ultimately make mistakes. Rhea also shares the one thing she's done to beat the loneliness of being a sole practitioner, while also fostering community and building connections with other therapists in her area (and you can do it, too!)
Rhea Bridge is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Owner/Sole Practioner of Bridge Counselling & Psychotherapy, a virtual practice in Ontario. She offers services to individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, neurodivergence and self-esteem issues. Coming from a Caribbean background, she is also an advocate for BI&POC, and dedicates her work to ending the stigma in these communities surrounding mental health.
Rhea also offers a Virtual Therapist Connection Group for professionals wanting to connect and build their network!
